Tina’s Superfood Cacao Truffles

This recipe is so forgiving as long as you substitute similar texture ingredients. Sweeten it according to your taste. I tend to like things less sweet than other people. Play around with it and have fun. I have included name brands of the products I use. I am not promoting these brands but giving you info to the products I use. Enjoy!

Use organic products as much as possible. I know they may cost more, however it’s better to be proactive rather than reacting to healing an illness caused by chemicals.

Also use as much raw ingredients as possible.

½ cup raw cashews
1 cup raw cacao (Nativas)
1 T raw cacao nibs (Nativas)
1 T flaxseed meal
2 Tablespoons hemp seeds (Nutura)
¼ cup extra virgin coconut oil (Nutura)
1 Tablespoon spirulina

2-4 Tablespoons raw honey (I used 2 T however I don’t like my truffles sweet) (YS Organic Bee Farms) You can also use raw agave.


pinch of Himalayan sea salt
unsweetened shredded coconut

1) process cashews in food processor until smooth

2) add remaining ingredients except coconut and pulse until combined

3) put in a bowl and form balls

4) roll in coconut

5) refrigerate about one hour and keep refrigerated until consumed

optional additions: vanilla, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, peppermint, lavender, nutmeg, all spice, etc. Experiment! Do not put all of these optional ingredients at once unless you are daring!
