Tina’s Raw Almost Green Smoothie

Use organic ingredients if possible. Note this is not a sweet smoothie. It’s healthy and refreshing. Your body is going to love you!

2 to 3 handfuls of mixed greens ( I use the combo package from Trader Joe’s which includes spinach, mustard greens and kale)
1/2 English cucumber (peel if you are not using the English cuke)
1/2 avocado
1/2 lime or lemon section (remove skin/pith/seeds
10 grapes and/or handful strawberries
couple of tablespoons of hemp seeds or powder for protein (optional)
1/4 water or more depending on your blender to keep mixture flowing
ice cubes

Put all in a blender and blend.   Use more water if needed. This is a flexible smoothie. Try different quantities according to your taste.

(A high speed blender like a Vita Mix or Blendtec is recommended if you plan to eat more raw foods.)
